HERO's sword-fighting sport: footwork, control and respect for your opponent, with padded sabers.
CPR and AED, first aid, and what to do when someone needs help, taught with local fire and police.
Staying aware, staying calm, and knowing how to get safe and get help.
What makes a hero a hero: one principle of the Hero Code each week, with a story from myth, folklore or real life to show what courage, honesty and fairness look like.
History, geography, finance, the human body, music and art, taught in small groups by people who love the subject.
Co-op runs from 10 to 2. Children work in small groups by age (4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 and up). A narrated soundtrack and a bell move the day along through Hero Character, Hero Skills and Fitness rotations, then an elective block, lunch and open play, and the Assembly to close, where the whole group gathers before heading home.

Every hero's journey starts with knowing who you are. The Archetype Atlas and the Hero Houses are HERO's way of talking about that: a map, not a verdict. The Atlas is grounded in the HEXACO model of personality, and the Houses give children a story to grow into. Nothing here is a diagnosis, and no answer is wrong. Adults can try the Archetype Finder; children can explore the House Compass together with a parent.
